The programme
This programme is designed for owners of dogs that bark, lunge, or react to triggers such as cars, people, or other dogs. As a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, I have developed a system that I use with my reactive dog clients to help guardians regain confidence and support their dogs in becoming calmer, more resilient, and easier to live and walk with. Starting with foundation exercises and practical management strategies before progressing to a structured treatment protocol, this programme will give you the tools to better understand your dog and begin working together as a team. You'll learn how to build your dog's confidence, improve their emotional resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate challenging situations more successfully. Everything is taught using kind, reward-based methods. Much of the training is disguised as games, making learning enjoyable for both you and your dog while helping you make meaningful progress without conflict or force. Once you have completed the programme, you will have the opportunity to join my in-person coaching sessions. These small-group classes provide a supportive, judgement-free environment where you can practise your new skills around carefully managed distractions alongside other owners who understand the challenges of living with a reactive dog. You'll also learn additional games, exercises, and cues to further develop your dog's skills and help them become a calmer, more confident companion. The course is self-paced, allowing you to work through the material in your own time. However, I have provided a suggested weekly schedule to help you maintain momentum and stay on track.
