The Puppy Social Club
Play, Focus and Fun
Service Description
Puppy Socials: Learning Social Skills the Right Way These puppy socials are designed to give your puppy safe, positive and meaningful social experiences — not chaotic free-for-alls. Your puppy will have the opportunity to mix with carefully selected puppies and calm, socially savvy adult dogs in a controlled environment, under the guidance of a qualified behaviourist. This allows puppies to practise real-world social skills in a way that supports their emotional development and confidence. Unlike many puppy socials that involve only puppies, these sessions intentionally include well-matched adult dogs. Adult dogs play a vital role in teaching puppies how to read social cues, respect boundaries, and communicate appropriately — skills that puppies simply can’t learn from other puppies alone. Whether your puppy is a little shy, overly enthusiastic, or still figuring out how to interact politely, I’ll be there to guide, support and advocate for them, ensuring interactions stay safe, positive and appropriate for their individual needs. These sessions are ideal if you’re finding it difficult to safely socialise your puppy with other dogs, or if you want to build their confidence and social skills in a thoughtful, structured way. Please note: These socials are not suitable for puppies showing signs of extreme fear, aggression or distress around other dogs. If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, I’m always happy to advise.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings & Payments: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your space. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If the course is full, you may join the waiting list and we’ll contact you if a space becomes available. Vaccinations & Health: All dogs must be up-to-date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments. If your dog is unwell (vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, etc.), please do not attend and contact me to discuss options. Equipment: A detailed list of required equipment will be provided in a handout before the course, including what to bring each week. As a minimum, dogs should have a harness, flat collar, short lead (no extendables), and a long line is recommended. Behaviour & Suitability: Dogs must be comfortable around other dogs, people, children, and common outdoor distractions such as bikes. Dogs who are reactive, fearful, or stressed in group settings may be better suited to private sessions, which can be arranged. Dogs who bark excessively at people or dogs in walks or at home should be discussed with me before booking. Attendance & Missed Classes: Missing two or more classes may prevent continuation in the course. Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be carried over, but handouts and guidance will be provided where possible. Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations made seven or more days before the course start are eligible for a full refund or transfer to a future course (subject to availability). Cancellations within seven days of the start date are non-refundable. No-shows will not be refunded or rescheduled. Weather & Outdoor Conditions: Classes take place outdoors and go ahead in most weather conditions. Waterproof clothing is advised. In rare cases of cancellation (extreme weather or instructor illness), an alternative date or credit will be offered. Guests & Attendance: To keep group sizes small, a maximum of two people per dog may attend. Children are welcome, but please discuss in advance to ensure group dynamics are safe and manageable. Additional guests or family members cannot be accommodated without prior agreement.
