Training Beyond The Classroom -

A four-week, small-group course for puppies who’ve completed puppy class and are ready to take their skills into the real world.

Designed for guardians who’ve just finished puppy classes and thinking 'shit - what happens next?'.

Training doesn’t stop when classes end. As your puppy starts experiencing more of the world, things can suddenly feel harder — not due to a lack of skill, but a lack of context.

This course bridges the gap between the classroom and adolescence, helping you feel confident handling your puppy in real-life situations while supporting your puppy to feel safe, settled and secure outside of class.

Who is this for?

This course is offered to puppys who have attended my puppy classes and already have the foundations needed to work safely in outdoor environments. Puppys must be 1 year and under at the start of the course. It runs over four weeks, with sessions lasting approximately one hour. The cost is £160, and spaces are limited. Group size is kept deliberately small, with a maximum of four dogs, allowing for careful management and individual support.

Take the next step towards unleashing your puppy's potential

Each session takes place in a different real-world environment, starting in a quiet park and progressing through woodland paths, the beach, and finishing in a street setting. Over the four weeks, we practise the same core skills — recall, loose lead walking, handling, readiness, and appropriate social interactions — so your puppy learns that these behaviours apply everywhere, not just in familiar places.

While reinforcing these foundations, I’ll introduce a small number of additional cues to support both on- and off-lead skills, helping build focus and engagement with you regardless of distractions.

Alongside cue practice, the course is designed to build your puppy’s confidence and resilience. Puppies are gently introduced to children playing, other dogs, people, wildlife, and traffic. We’ll also finish with a café visit to teach them what is expected in a more stimulating environment.

Throughout, guardians learn to read their puppy’s body language, manage arousal, and choose effective reinforcement as challenges increase.

This course isn’t just about cue training — it’s about preparing your puppy for adolescence, supporting their emotional development, and giving you the confidence to handle real-world situations safely and successfully.
