Outdoor Adolescent Training classes in Aberdeen
~Give your adolescent the ongoing support they need in life by joining an expert-led adolescent training class. Learn how to communicate with your teenage dog and understand their needs to ensure they grow into the best canine companion~
My passion lies in helping owners support their dogs through key stages of growth, and adolescence is a time where guidance can make a huge difference. These classes are perfect for dogs who may have missed out on puppy training or need a refresher on essential life skills.
We focus on strengthening the skills that matter in everyday life — building focus, improving engagement, and helping your dog cope with distractions, new experiences, and the challenges of adolescence. Everything we do is designed to set your dog up for long-term success, supporting them to become confident, reliable, and happy companions.

My classes are a great fit for people who want to understand their adolescent, not just control them.

If you're curious, open to learning, and ready to build a strong, trusting relationship with your dog, you'll fit right in here.
Why join our adolescent dog class?

Adolescence can be a challenging time for both dogs and their guardians. During this period, your dog may feel like they’ve taken a step back in training - and that’s completely normal.

Our classes are designed to support you through this stage by providing controlled exposure to social distractions, other dogs, and people. This helps build confidence, maintain socialisation, and strengthen frustration tolerance - all in a low-pressure, positive environment.

From your dog’s perspective, these sessions are an opportunity to bond with you, increase focus and engagement, and practise working for rewards even when there are more interesting things happening around them. This translates to better behaviour on walks and in everyday life.

We also guide you on using rewards effectively to reinforce desired behaviours, ensuring that your dog continues to see you as a relevant and engaging partner, even in distracting situations.

By attending these classes, you’ll help your adolescent dog grow into a confident, reliable, and well-adjusted companion - while enjoying the process together.

Enroll in my 6 week course and give your adolescent the ongoing support they need for their development. Each one-hour session focuses on positive reinforcement techniques using food and toys as a reward to equip your dog with the essential life skills they will need. Ideal for dogs aged 5 -24 months, I focus on creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where your teenager can learn and socialise, and grow into a well-behaved and confident companion.
Important: dogs must be comfortable around others which means no barking/lunging. If you are not able to get or keep your dog's attention outside, my course Only Have Eyes for You is more suitable for your needs. If you think your dog will struggle in a class environment, please get in touch.
